The Prairie Pride Film Festival
February 2011 – August 2014
The Prairie Pride Film Festival started as the brain-child of Mike Echternacht and myself. Together we served as the social chairs of the Allies and Advocates for LGBT Equality at the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2011. Partnered with the LGBTQA Resource Center at the University, they created the annual festival. The festival is now partnering with local nonprofit Outlinc and continues to delivery high-quality art and entertainment to the Lincoln area. I resigned as producer after the July 2014 festival to focus more fully on my family, my students, and my programs at the University.
